Innovation heats up with latest winner2D Heat qualifies for Merseyside Innovation Awards2 June 2008 2D Heat has been announced as the qualifying May winner for the Merseyside Innovation Awards. Three qualifying finalists will be selected to showcase their products before an audience of entrepreneurs and other leading figures in the business community in July where the final winner will be chosen. 2D Heat produce a revolutionary spray on heating element which can be used on a range of home appliances, including ovens, kettles, tumble dryers and refrigerators in order to radically save energy. The element could help to reduce CO2 emissions with its low carbon footprint. Liverpool Ventures are advisors to 2D Heat which recently raised a funding package from the Liverpool Seed Fund. Liverpool Ventures is a sponsor of the Merseyside Innovation Awards and is closely involved in the process of encouraging the development in innovation in Merseyside.
