Liverpool Ventures
has appointed a fourth business consultant Janet Butler to help
with the surge of applications to the new £27m Liverpool
Seed Fund.
Janet will bring experience in corporate finance, mergers and
acquisitions and procurement to the industry team at Liverpool
Ventures. Her last role was procurement director at Marconi. She
is well versed in the sale and procurement of equipment, process
improvement along with software & services having negotiated
and managed numerous licenses, development, distribution, supply
and service level agreements with domestic and international customers
as well as suppliers. Steve Nesbit CEO commented ‘we now
have a range of experience at Liverpool Ventures including: biotechnology,
materials development, engineering, power, software, telecoms,
media and much more. Liverpool Ventures is helping these knowledge
businesses start ups break into industrial markets.’
Janet is keen to support the growth of knowledge based businesses
in Merseyside and is a member of the City Growth Liverpool Board.
Liverpool Ventures provides support to businesses applying to
the new £27m Liverpool Seed Fund. There is a huge amount
of knowledge and ideas in Merseyside which could benefit from
investment at proof of concept or commercialisation. Consultants
at Liverpool Ventures can help prepare the investment case for
investment and offer a non executive management support service
following investment. The model is a flagship for Merseyside and
the results will be judged on the quality of new knowledge based
business starting up.
