Merseyside Innovation Awards - 2007 - 19th January 2007 The World Museum hosts the launch of this years’ Merseyside Innovation Awards. The stunning surrounding of the World Museum’s atrium was the setting last night for an exuberant launch for the 2007 Merseyside Innovation Awards. The Awards which recognise, reward and encourage the use of innovation as a means of boosting growth and profitability on Merseyside. 2007 is the eleventh year of the Awards, which are open to individuals or companies with less than 50 employees based in the Merseyside region attract prizes up to £10,000 in cash and up to £4,000 in consultancy support. Each month a winner will be selected to join the shortlist before the grand final in July, where three finalists will showcase their products before a panel of entrepreneurs and other leading figures in the business community, when an overall winner will be selected and the major prize presented. Previous finalists have gone on to compete on BBC’s Dragons Den.
