LIVERPOOL VENTURES - Notes to editors Liverpool Ventures is a wholly owned subsidiary of Merseyside Special Investment Fund. It provides a range of support services to The Liverpool Seed Fund and advice and support to investee businesses and potential investee businesses of The Liverpool Seed Fund. A growing number of businesses have benefited from specialist pre-investment services provided to prepare individuals or companies for equity funding from Liverpool Seed Fund. Post investment support from Liverpool Ventures is exclusively for investees of Liverpool Seed Fund. This includes: Fast track process to develop businesses from their early stages and grow them into sustainable businesses; Capitalising on commercial potential of intellectual property: Guidance and support through further funding rounds. The Liverpool Seed Fund is a £27m equity fund comprising money from the Merseyside Objective One programme, The Co-Operative Bank and Barclays. Investments are made using equity and debt instruments where there is intellectual property, exceptional commercial potential and the business will be based on Merseyside or can relocate to Merseyside. The Liverpool Seed Fund is part of the Merseyside Special Investment Group of funds and is managed by Alliance Fund Managers.
