Business Start-up
Support
Liverpool Chamber of Commerce in partnership with Liverpool John Moores
University (LJMU) can help your achieve your dream.
If you are over 18, not in full time education, living in the Merseyside
area and are not currently running your own business then the New Entrepreneur
Scholarship (NES) could help you develop your idea into a reality, through
business planning support and funding.
Please note that acceptance on the programme is limited to specific Merseyside
postal codes and therefore eligibility criteria will need to be met.
The programme consists of a minimum of twelve weeks group part-time learning
at LJMU, delivered by experienced tutors. This programme will help you
develop all the skills needed to run a business and help you to produce
a business plan. In support of this you may also have the opportunity
to complete a recognised IT qualification.
In addition to the group learning programme you will also have access
to the information learning library and IT suite at LJMU plus one to one
support from a qualified business advisor at the Liverpool Chamber Of
Commerce.
All scholars who complete the programme and finish their business plan
are eligible to apply for up to £1500 of start up financial support
to help them purchase essential items.
For advice on eligibility please contact the following personnel who will
be happy to advise.
